Golf is a relaxing and competitive sport which is becoming more and more popular in North Cyprus. The sunny climate means you can enjoy golf at its best. The weather between November and March is generally cool, ideal for attempting to lower your handicap! From July until the end of summer it is best you avoid playing when the sun is at its strongest at midday.

The Korineum Esentepe Golf and Country Club is a golf course situated near the village of Esentepe on the outskirts of Kyrenia. This 18-hole international standard golf course is one of the best in the Mediterranean. This golf club includes all the usual things you come to expect at a top of the range golf course: luscious greens, sand bunkers and water hazards. This large 6,600 yard course has been created amongst beautiful and natural greenery with beautiful views of the countryside. The never ending carpet of grass is watered by the manmade reservoirs to keep fresh all year round.

Or if you are not confident enough, perhaps some lessons at the academy which also boasts its own three holes, will get you in the swing of things. If you would like to save all of your energy for the golf, there are golf carts available to take you to your next location.

Cengiz Topel Golf Course, North Cyprus. What can be better than feeling the refreshing breeze from the sea over your skin as you concentrate on your favourite sport? All this can be yours if you visit the Cengiz Topel Golf Course situated near the Guzelyurt (Omorfo) region. This course boasts two loops of nine holes, with a total par of 70 and pans a distance of an amazing 5,233 yards.
The Cengiz Topel Golf Course aims at everyone, from beginners to the experts. If you believe you are a good golfer and like a good challenge then the seaside holes are for you. It is somewhat different to your typical golf course, as in some areas the greens are actually brown (sand and oil) which creates a great surface for putting.
You can visit this golf course everyday of the week and hire your clubs. If you would like an opportunity to get to know the local golfers and play a round of golf with them, it is highly recommended that you visit on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
